POLL: Have you ever sought help for a gambling addiction?

The newest poll is focusing on a serious topic - the gambling addiction. We would like to know if you ever looked for help related to a gambling addiction, whether it was via a phone call, visiting a help center or maybe attending an online workshop etc.

We know that the options of getting proper help when you need it differs country by country. Feel free to tell us here in this thread how you rate your country in terms of such possibilities.

I wish there was not such a problem at all, but unfortunately there is and it is all around us. That is why we try to help as much as we can.

I am from the U.S and it has not been an issue for me. However, one of the more popular methods of self-limitation here seems to be placing a limit on the deposit amount. Sadly, suicides from gambling addiction seem to be worse than addiction to cigarettes, alcohol, and drugs combined ... I suspect the same would be true in other countries.

Hi, I haven't read any of the studies but that may be the case. You know if players are addicted and there is no one to help them or they don't want to admit it, it can have disastrous consequences. I know that in our country if there was no problem and the bank had no indicating information you could take out a mortgage or a loan or whatever and if you lost it and had no way to pay it back, some people see it as the only way to get out of it is like this. 

I am very sorry and I wish there were as few cases like this as possible. It is important to always be aware of this and to have someone who is willing to help you through this thorny road.
