From your history posts you raised as goods services not receive but then came clean. The point I'm getting at is most banks will reject gambling related transactions at first point of contact. And this is evident on the thread with many people.

Also not everyone has gambling blocks in place to help with mcc route. Such as yourself. They come here due to sketchy merchants found on their statements. Which is still fraud in itself. The casino name should be found on your transactions, not some merchant where youve supposedly bought books, digital art etc. This shows unlawful practices in itself

I have 5 such transactions related to crypto. Can you explain again what you did. Which dispute resolution option did you use in Revolut?

Wow, you got real lucky that Revolut helped you, even with the small number of card transactions I had they flat out refused once they heard it was related to unregulated gambling. I cannot put into words how much I despise that ‘bank’.

Yes that is it so all should be raised as incorrect mcc it does not matter about the block on or off it is fraud and breaking the rules

You did well with your claims! I had a chargeback request flat-out rejected by the bank, citing the MCC issue. I also made a complaint. This was through Mastercard. Monzo. So, based on my experience, there’s really no consistency when it comes to how these banks handle things.

Exactly, that’s why so many people end up having to go down the goods/services not received route. It really shouldn’t be this way. The banks should be fully aware of the issue by now, especially considering how long this has been going on. This thread is over a year old, and yet these dodgy casinos are still getting away with it. It’s frustrating that nothing seems to change.

Yes it is not right Monzo are terrible from what I can see I was very fortunate I still cannot believe it I was done for if it never happened so I am also grateful

I honestly feel like most of these banks are run by bots these days. I must have spoken to a million different people at Monzo, all with different names. There really should be one person assigned to each case so it can be handled properly. It’s impossible to get consistent help when you're passed around to so many different representatives.

my experience with Monzo was a nightmare, imagine with Monzo I have won 0 chargeback


with Revlout. i already won 1 and this is 2 chargeback that has been raised to merchants

i think Revlout if you are honest with them and show them the conversation screenshot, they surely raise the chargeback

Yes agree revolut have been great so far. They will raise chargebacks within 24 hours but monzo make you wait 7-14 days to be told it's rejected!
