A little warning here for the CG Community: Casino Guru is an open platform where everyone is free to share their thoughts and opinions. We believe in free speech and try to be as non-restrictive as possible. That said, please remember: just because something is posted on the forum doesn’t mean Casino Guru agrees with it or endorses it in any way. We’re really happy to see players engaging in conversations, debating respectfully, and having fun doing so! That’s why we created this platform. However, we’ve noticed a growing trend – not just here, but across other platforms too – where some players, after losing money fairly in a casino, look for ways to get those funds back through their bank or payment provider, often by filing chargebacks or making false claims. We’d like to warn you: this behaviour is not only unfair – it’s also very risky! We’ve already seen and heard stories (here and elsewhere) of people who got into serious trouble trying to go down this route – including closed casino accounts across multiple platforms, closed bank accounts, debts, and even lawsuits (attempted fraud). Attempting fraud or misrepresenting the truth to a bank or provider is never a good idea and could have lasting consequences. So here’s our friendly appeal to all Casino Guru community members: Stand up against unfair and dishonest casinos. Use our Complaints Resolution Center if you need help – you don’t have to fight alone. But please don’t try to get back money you’ve fairly lost. It’s simply not worth the risk. Thanks for being part of our community – and have a great day!

The fastest way to identify these: request the technical transaction data (ARN + acquirer name and ID + MCC) from your card issuer via a GDPR Art. 15 request — in writing, per transaction. The descriptor names alone won't tell you anything; the acquirer ID behind them will. If any were processed by Walletto, their support (complaints@walletto.eu ) can confirm a descriptor against your card details — that worked in my case. Then file a formal complaint with a completed TRI form attached directly.

Thanks for sharing this — this matches my experience with Decta. How long did it take from your refund request until the money was credited? And did you need to send a TRI form and ARN list with your first complaint, or did they ask for it afterwards?

If you are trying to identify the Acquirer behind these transactions and potentially make a complaint against them, I recommend contacting your bank/card issuer first.

Ask the bank's card disputes/chargeback department for the complete underlying card-network data for each transaction.

Specifically ask for:

• Acquirer Identification / Acquirer ID

• Acquirer name and registered legal entity

• Merchant ID (MID)

• Merchant name / descriptor

• ARN (Acquirer Reference Number)

• MCC (Merchant Category Code)

• Transaction ID / network transaction ID

• Acquirer country

• Payment processor / payment facilitator, if applicable

Do not only ask "Who is the merchant?" The critical information is the Acquirer Identification and the legal entity associated with that Acquirer ID.

Once you have this information, investigate the transaction itself. There are several potentially important grounds for a complaint against an Acquirer:

1. INCORRECT MCC

If the transaction was actually a casino/gambling deposit, check which MCC was used.

MCC 7995 is the specific Mastercard gambling MCC.

If a genuine gambling transaction was processed using another MCC, this can be an important issue to raise with the Acquirer/card network. The exact transaction and circumstances should be documented.

2. CASINO HAD NO LICENCE IN YOUR COUNTRY

Check whether the casino was legally licensed to offer gambling to customers in the country where you were located at the time of the transaction.

For example, if you were in Sweden, check the Swedish Gambling Authority's licence register and the operator's licence status on the actual transaction date.

An unlicensed operator + gambling transaction + potentially incorrect MCC coding is a particularly important combination to investigate.

3. WITHHELD OR REFUSED WINNINGS

If the casino accepted deposits but subsequently withheld legitimate winnings, refused withdrawals, confiscated funds, or closed the account after winnings were generated, document this separately.

Keep deposit records, withdrawal requests, dates, amounts, casino correspondence and the terms and conditions applicable at the time.

This is different from simply losing money through gambling.

AFTER IDENTIFYING THE ACQUIRER

Once your bank gives you the Acquirer ID, Merchant ID, MCC and ARN, search those exact identifiers together with the merchant descriptor.

Then contact the identified Acquirer and ask them to confirm:

1. Which legal entity was the merchant?

2. What role did the Acquirer have — Acquirer, processor, payment facilitator or Merchant of Record?

3. Was the merchant registered/approved for gambling transactions?

4. What MCC was assigned and why?

5. Was the merchant authorised to process gambling transactions for customers in your country?

6. Which casino/operator was actually behind the merchant descriptor?

If necessary, make a formal GDPR Article 15 access request to your bank and/or the identified payment company for your personal transaction data and information concerning the parties involved in processing your transactions.

The goal is to establish the complete chain:

Your transaction → ARN → Acquirer ID → Acquirer/legal entity → Merchant ID → Merchant/legal entity → Casino/operator → licence status → MCC.

That is much stronger than simply trying to identify a strange merchant descriptor.

If anyone obtains an Acquirer ID + Merchant descriptor + Merchant ID + MCC from their bank, share those identifiers here (with personal/card information removed). We can then investigate who is behind the Acquirer and the payment chain.

Transaktion → ARN → Acquirer ID → Acquirer/legal entity → Merchant ID → Merchant → Casino/operator.

Why do you need to contact BLOGWIZARRO LTD?

It is registered as a software/IT company, not as a gambling operator. Is Blogwizarro actually involved in your gambling transactions, and if so, what is the connection?

Ok so it's the merchant name. You don't need to contact them. You need to ask your bank about information for the transactions to the casino. Look at my other posts for guidance and food luck.

Chargeback is only one possible route, and unfortunately it can be difficult when it comes to online gambling transactions.

What I would recommend is first requesting all available information from your bank/card issuer regarding every transaction made to the casino.

You may also be able to pursue the matter through the Acquirer if the relevant requirements are met — for example, incorrect MCC coding, an unlicensed or problematic operator, or other compliance issues concerning how the gambling transactions were processed.

For tips, advice and guidance, I recommend reading through my posts in this thread. I have explained the process and the information you need to collect there.

Good luck!

Tried that and with other transactions. I am not going to involve my bank directly again, as I don't want to loose my bank account or be de-banked
