I have just received an email from RoySpins offering a reward in exchange for a positive review on Trustpilot.

As far as I understand, this type of practice is prohibited on Trustpilot when users are financially incentivized to post positive reviews.

This raises a question for me: does RoySpins use similar practices on Casino Guru?

Are the reviews published on Casino Guru genuinely independent and neutral, or are there also reward or incentive systems encouraging users to leave positive reviews?

There is another issue as well: I explicitly asked RoySpins to stop sending me promotional emails. Despite this, I continue to receive their promotional offers regularly.

I find this concerning and would like to know whether other users have experienced the same thing.

I cannot speak for Trust Pilot, but I would be interested to hear from players who have similar experience with offering rewards for posting positive reviews on our website. We have for example, no problem with rewarding players for any kind of feedback, but this campaign looks very direct, mentioning only 5-star reviews...

Let's wait and see what the others have to say about this. I'm sorry to see that canceling promotional emails is not easy.

I actually received this email from Royspins as well, offering a reward for leaving a review.

I didn't take part because, as far as I understand it, Trustpilot doesn't allow incentivised reviews at all, even if the player genuinely likes the casino. Once you've been offered something in exchange for writing the review, you're apparently no longer eligible to post it there.

I've seen similar offers from other casinos too, so I wonder how common this still is. I also think that rewarding a Trustpilot review would be acceptable, as long as it was asking for an "honest review" and not for a 5 stars or positive review. But based on how I understand it, any review where someone receives incentives is not allowed on Trustpilot.

Personally I also find many of these reviews quite easy to spot. You often suddenly get a lot of very short 5-star reviews saying things like "good casino", "fast withdrawals", "many games", etc. Of course some genuine players write short reviews too, so you can't know for sure just from the wording, but when there are many similar ones together it does make me wonder.

I understand it's still related to Trust Pilot. So there is not much to say about that. On our end, we did get similar information from our users about reviews posted on our website and I would not say that spotting biased reviews is easy or based on warding about games or withdrawals. We are in an entirely different situation, if I may be honest. 🙂

Still, at least for me, honesty remains crucial, and it's good to keep that ght.
