Question about Gambling websites with Curaçao license using incorrect Merchant Category code (sida 1 639)

I’ve already raised the disputes under goods not received, although I was honest in the descriptions about why I was disputing them. The merchant names and codes are all wrong, and I believe the casino is acting fraudulently by disguising the transactions. I haven’t had any luck so far, even though what they’re doing appears to be in breach of Mastercard’s rules.

I bank with NatWest and have had loads of different merchant names appear. I also deposited using my credit cards and raised chargebacks on those too. Still waiting to hear back on one, but the rest have been declined as well.

Just to add, every single one of my payments was made to Freshbet and no other casino. Yet, as you can see, there’s a crazy number of different merchant names showing on my statements, none of which appear to have anything to do with Freshbet!

Was it from the bank or FOS? What was the basis for your complaint? I stated fraud in mine and it is with the banks atm.

Mine is loss of chance. Since monzo refused to raise any of my disputes to the merchants theres a good case for "loss of chance" since i managed to get 7k out of 21k back with merchants voluntary refunding me, I hope the fos will see this and make monzo pay back a percentage of the remaining 14k. Ive sent a tonne of evidence including a similar case exact same as mine where the fos made natwest pay the customer back 70% of his total loss to the merchants.

It was with the FOS. They said that Monzo could not reasonably have known 16K worth of transactions (in 6 weeks) were gambling related and they don't need to monitor accounts. I had gone with irresponsible lending (I increased my flex account twice and flexed gambling transactions to stupidly provide more funds and also took out a loan!) and account management. They were aware of faster payments, that I wasn't aware that I was buying crypto yet sided with the bank.

There are a few factual inaccuracies so going to try and appeal it but realistically I'd have to go to court and I'm done.

When did you decline investigators findings? Were we not around the same time ish?

I did get a DSAR from rapyd, not sure if you have but you can use that and complain to fca about them

Yep I got this week. 14 of my 16 nextrast transactions have allready been refunded from revolut. So I only have another 7 transactions outstanding. I have emailed rapyd back asking them to refund the rest.
