Stupidly I mentioned gambling in my disputes with Starling, I said that the casino was happy to let me deposit money, but then wouldn’t process my withdrawal, and then cancelled my account. I had emails to prove this. I also mentioned the MCC codes as a side issue. They’ve come back with this

is there anything I can say back to this, or are they correct and I should just chase the merchants now?

Do you / or anyone know if Sknsmgnt are one and the same as Sknvrs ?

Financial ombudsman finally got back to me today (took 1 week) im giving them all the information and are gonna print and sign their document tomorrow.

Wow! MCCs are nothing to do with the UKGC! This is wrong information. It is also again part of the problem - banks know genuinely nothing about this and are employing some really thick people in some cases. I'd be chasing the FOS or doing Goods and Services not received - do not chargeback for fraud because you authorised the transactions and it cannot be fraud from a card rules perspective.

Starling are utterly useless on such matters. They just spout complete nonsense. I had a ridiculous response from them. Explained everything numerous times and they just do not get it!

Well, definitely not helpful. I've been through the three levels of whatever to get to the point to be able to go through the ombudsman.. we shall see how this goes I guess!

I've had disputes raised and won For others through bank of Scotland at the expense of my account which is now closed.

However what I've had back is a drop in the ocean compared to whats been deposited, I just want to hit them with an arsenal!
