Först skickade jag in mitt nationella ID-kort igen.
* vilken specifik information som påstås vara falsk eller vilseledande;
* vilket KYC-dokument eller uttalande som ansågs problematiskt;
* vilka bevis som stöder anklagelsen;
* varför konfiskering av hela saldot på 25 476 dollar var berättigat;
* eller varför ytterligare verifiering inte ansågs tillräcklig.
Complaint title
Stake.com confiscated $25,476 after vague allegation of "misleading" KYC information
Complaint
I would like to file a complaint regarding Stake.com’s decision to permanently restrict my account and confiscate my entire balance of $25,476.
My account was initially verified using my national ID. On March 11, I deposited approximately $9,000 into the account.
The funds remained in the account for some time before I began betting. After I started betting, my balance increased to $25,476.
On March 20, when I attempted to place further bets, my account was restricted and Stake requested additional KYC verification.
I first resubmitted my national ID. I was then informed by Stake’s compliance team that I would need to provide either a passport or a driver’s licence.
At that time, I did not have either document. I therefore applied for a Bangladeshi passport, which took approximately two months to obtain.
Once I received the passport, I submitted it to Stake together with the requested selfie verification.
After completing this process, Stake informed me:
"Following a thorough review of your account and the submitted Know Your Customer (KYC) documentation, we have determined that the information provided was misleading."
Stake then permanently restricted my account and confiscated my entire balance, relying on Clause 4.19 of its Terms of Service.
The central issue is that Stake has never clearly explained what information was supposedly misleading.
I had originally verified using my national ID. When Stake later specifically requested a passport or driver’s licence, I went through the process of obtaining a legitimate passport and submitted it together with the requested selfie verification.
Despite this, Stake has not identified:
* which specific information was allegedly false or misleading;
* which KYC document or statement was considered problematic;
* what evidence supports the allegation;
* why confiscation of the entire $25,476 balance was justified;
* or why further verification was not considered sufficient.
I believe that confiscating such a substantial balance based only on a general statement that unspecified information was "misleading" is not reasonable unless Stake can clearly identify the issue and provide evidence supporting its decision.
There is also a separate issue regarding my original deposit of approximately $9,000. Even if Stake believes it has grounds to void some or all of the winnings, it should explain the specific contractual and factual basis on which it believes it is entitled to retain the deposited funds themselves.
I am therefore asking for assistance in requiring Stake to provide a detailed explanation and evidence for its allegation.
If Stake cannot substantiate the claim that misleading information was intentionally provided, I request the return of my full $25,476 balance.
I can provide the relevant KYC correspondence, deposit information, account communications, and other supporting documentation if required.
