How about asking the game provider directly what countries are restricted ? Alternatively, if you are playing in a specific casino you should check the Terms and Conditions or ask the support if games are restricted for players from Australia.

If these game providers have restricted Australia, then I understand why you can't play and it seems like the only logical explanation.

As for the VPN, if you can use it, then I'm not sure how a block works or what's behind not being able to play them, because you should be allowed to play games.

If you play at BitStarz casino, have you tried asking them directly how it is possible that even with a VPN it is not allowed to play games at this provider ? I guess you'd find out something relevant. I haven't come across any cases where it doesn't work if you use a VPN, so it would be good to know why that is.
