Hey, that's great you said that. My colleagues from the data team—the front line in verifying everything casino-related—pretty much say the same. We treat them as standard online casinos but remain cautious. 🙂

I agree that they can be legitimate, but I think "legit" is too broad by itself. For me, the important part is whether the operator is transparent about state availability, redemption rules, verification, and what happens if its terms change.

One thing that seems especially important in the US sweepstakes space is checking restrictions before buying anything. Some operators can change availability by state, and that can affect redemptions or access later. I usually compare the current rules first rather than relying only on the welcome offer.

Interesting development for US sweepstakes players this week: Florida's Attorney General filed lawsuits against Stake and VGW, which operates Chumba Casino, LuckyLand and Global Poker.

What I think is important for players is that a lawsuit doesn't automatically mean every site has already stopped operating in Florida. Operator rules and actual availability can change separately while the cases develop.

Has anyone in Florida noticed changes to access, Sweeps Coin play or redemptions on any of these sites since the announcement?

Hi, sure, I understand. I’d say that’s a pretty sensible approach.

Especially with less traditional casinos and sweepstakes casinos, it’s important to look at more than just the bonus offers. Players can otherwise easily run into restrictions or conditions they weren’t expecting. State availability is definitely one of the important things to check, along with withdrawals, verification requirements, and the relevant terms and conditions.

So if you’re already checking all of these things before playing, I think that’s a good approach.

As for the lawsuit you mentioned, I don’t know enough about it at the moment to comment on it properly, but I may take a closer look. Maybe someone else here who knows more about the situation can also add some useful context.

I think it really depends on the specific sweepstakes casino. I’d look at things like the terms, redemption rules, state availability, and how long the platform has been operating before signing up. Clovr has some useful information on the legality side of sweepstakes casinos too, which is worth checking out.

Great those are important things.

Have you ever played in sweepstake casino? 🙂

Also, please I don't want to see an advertisement here so avoid posting some links or referring in your posts on other similar sites to us.

Thank you for your understanding.
