RocketPlay Court Action - Question

Hello all,

I wanted to make other players aware that I have taken solicitor action against Rocketplay for misrepresentation and breach of contract pursuant to Directive 93/13/EEC.

The casino has also breached it's own ts an c's and refused to payout my account balance (sports winnings), attempting instead to only refund two deposits.

My question is are Casinoguru okay to act as a mediator if I submit a complaint? My solicitors have said it can look good to the court to show I have attempted mediation prior to submitting the court papers?

We’d definitely love to mediate your case, but unfortunately, we don’t deal with sports betting; we don’t have the expertise or sufficient knowledge in this area, so I’m sorry. 

I believe, however, that some other sites might be able to help you. 

Can I ask why the casino didn’t want to pay out your winnings and what happened, and if they’re willing to refund your deposits? 🙂

It would operate the same way as casino betting under Directive 93/13/EEC. As the contract between customer and vendor is still the same e.g A contract is created when the business accepts your bet, if they refuse to payout winnings they are in breach of the contract.

Rocketplay have given no reason why they are attempting theft. They point to their terms which state they can 'refuse and terminate any client account without reason and settle account balance', yet they are refusing to settle the account balance. Which is why I have the solicitor who have issued them a letter of claim.

I understand, so I'm curious to see how this turns out. As I've already said, unfortunately, we can't mediate in situations like this.

But I'd appreciate it if you could let me know if you have any updates or if the situation gets resolved, whatever the outcome may be.

Casino games were played with balance as well as sports bets. I don't understand why you wouldn't accept the complaint?

To update those following this thread. The casino and affiliate group ignored the letter of claim and deadline issued by my solicitors, so they have now served the claim forms.

It will now be a slow process going through the courts.

Hey, I can imagine how you feel, but since you brought in the lawyers, I guess the fact that we can't handle the related sports betting rules isn't as stressful anymore. I think the lawyer should help you with your claim and give you information about it. Otherwise, you wouldn't be bringing it up in another thread directly to the casino representative. Feel free to share any other updates here, please.
