Hi Novice! I think we both were in a similar situation, I made a 150 USD crypto deposit, they blocked my account, and asked me for the source of my income, which I was surprised to be asked for such a small deposit. I sent them a bank statement with my investments, they refunded my deposit, but they closed my account and voided my winnings. I do not know the reason, they don't have to explain their actions from a legal perspective. Did you talk to them? I suggest you go on chat and ask what happened to your initial deposit, I got mine back at least, even though my account was closed permanently I believe.
Hi, when you say that the casino took your money without giving you a reason, didn't you try to resolve it somehow? Did you play with a bonus or something like that? Do you have any idea why this might have happened?
If you feel you have a case and would like our help in finding out what might have happened, you can lodge a complaint with us.
Do you think it would be worth it for you?
How do you guys not see you are talking to Winning themselves? 😂 It’s so obvious
Winning.io presents itself as a sleek, modern casino, but behind the polished interface is an operation that — in my experience — shows complete disregard for player safety, responsibility, and ethical conduct.
What happened to me was not a minor inconvenience. It was a systemic failure.
I was permanently blocked from using services connected to Scatters Group. That alone suggests someone, somewhere in that ecosystem decided I should not be gambling.
Yet Winning.io — a brand publicly associated with the same group — had no problem taking my money.
I was allowed to:
Register instantly
Deposit large sums without friction
Lose massive amounts within hours
Continue playing with zero intervention
If one arm of the operation deemed me unsafe, why did another arm exploit that same vulnerability?
Within a very short period, I lost large amounts of money. At no point did Winning.io:
Pause my play
Trigger affordability checks
Offer cooling-off prompts
Enforce spending limits
Intervene in any meaningful way
This wasn’t subtle. The behaviour was extreme, fast, and obvious — yet the platform did nothing.
At regulated casinos, this kind of activity is a red flag. At Winning.io, it felt encouraged.
"Responsible gambling" in name only
Winning.io may technically list responsible gambling tools, but in practice they felt purely cosmetic.
No proactive safeguards.
No automated warnings.
No behavioural monitoring.
Responsibility was placed entirely on the player — while the casino applied relentless incentives to keep depositing.
That isn’t player protection. That’s plausible deniability.
According to publicly available information, the CEO of Winning.io is Alexis Wicén.
If that is accurate, then leadership must answer for a system that:
Blocks players on one connected service
Funnels them into another
Allows uncontrolled losses
Takes no action to prevent harm
This is not a technical oversight. It reflects corporate priorities.
Winning.io operates offshore and is not licensed by the Dutch Gambling Authority (KSA).
From a player’s perspective, that reality is painfully obvious:
No meaningful duty of care
No enforcement of safer gambling standards
No cross-brand self-exclusion
No real accountability when things go wrong
When problems arise, players are left exposed — financially and emotionally.
When I reached out, responses were generic and evasive. There was:
No acknowledgment of prior blocking elsewhere
No concern about the scale or speed of losses
No attempt to assist or protect
It felt like support existed only to deflect, not to help.
In my opinion, Winning.io is not a safe casino, especially for:
Vulnerable players
Anyone with prior gambling issues
Anyone expecting basic ethical standards
The fact that I was blocked by one connected entity and then allowed to lose huge sums on Winning.io without intervention is, to me, indefensible.
Winning.io didn’t just fail me as a customer — it failed at the most basic level of responsibility.
This platform should not be trusted with anyone’s money or wellbeing.
If you are considering playing here: don’t.
I am really sorry that our team was unable to help in your situation. Everything was well explained in your complaint, though, and in such situations we really can't do much even though we would like to help.
And I hope my review will be accepted to warn others and maybe even to get a response from this company
Unfortunately, as your user review contains the same information as in your complaint, which was closed because of insufficient evidence from your side, we are unable to approve it either.
I believe everything was explained to you in your complaint, which was rejected because, unfortunately, you didn't provide enough evidence, which our complaint team needed in order to help you out.
Even though we always want to help, especially when it comes to the self-exclusion of players, which is a really important and sensitive topic, and we surely want all online casinos to take it very seriously.
We were unable to help with your complaint. Your resolver explained the situation well:
"Dear Larsieboii,
Unfortunately, unless you specifically requested or mentioned gambling addiction to the casino, they had no reason to block you in any way.
Additionally, it is the player's responsibility to check if the casino is available in their region before registering. Unless the casino specifically restricts a country, you are free to play there. If your country has specific laws for that, the player is responsible for following them."
Also, that was the reason your user review got rejected, as it contained the same information you wrote about this casino as your complaint was opened for. If there is no evidence that the casino did wrong in this situation, we don't believe that they deserve the low rating, actually.
I just hope that next time, if anything similar happens again, you will know that to get self-excluded, you need to be specific with your request, and only in such a case can we help you out.
Maybe instead of immediately closing the complaint you could ask for more evidence.
