When I visited the BC Game website, logged in, and created an account, the first thing I did was contact support to ask if I needed to complete any KYC or similar process right away, to avoid any issues with bonuses later. I also inquired about potential bonuses, such as whether they offered a KYC bonus or a deposit bonus. Additionally, I asked about the spin feature. After creating my account, I received a spin, and when I used it, I won 5 BC Coins. However, instead of receiving the reward, I got a notification saying that the spin prize could not be credited to my account because someone had already created an account using my device ID or IP address.

This message was unclear—it didn’t confirm whether the previous login was actually me or someone else. It could have been one of my friends who, by clicking on one of their promotions, ended up on their site using my IP address. That’s why I was trying to complete the KYC process, to prove my identity and avoid any further issues.

A bigger issue arose when I tried to claim the advertised deposit bonus. When I visited the deposit section, it said I would receive a 180% bonus on my first deposit if I deposited more than $10, in any currency. After selecting my amount, which converted to the required minimum of $10, I completed the deposit. However, I didn’t receive the bonus immediately. Instead, I got a notification saying that my deposit was locked in a vault, and from what I could understand, I needed to wager the amount to unlock it.

I proceeded with the wagering requirements using my $10. I entered one of the games, played, and lost the entire amount. Even after that, the bonus remained inaccessible, and I never received it. I reached out to support again, and when I mentioned Casino Guru, they escalated the issue to a supervisor. I waited for around 20 minutes, and just before I was about to leave, I notified them that I could wait only 5 more minutes. Unfortunately, no one responded, and I didn’t receive any further assistance.

Hi there!

I would like to say that I understand that the casino chat operator told you there was no need to verify, because at least from my experience, the KYC is only needed for withdrawal or permanent account closure; moreover, I would guess the operator did not expect your account to be flagged due to the same IP address.

If I may add kind advice, never share your IP with others while laying in casinos; you may face problems with the withdrawals. If you intend to play together with your friends, inform the casino before you all start playing.

Even though I understand this such social event with friends might be great fun, for the casinos it seems suspicious. Avoid later missunderstandings by informing the support that you and your friends play from the same location at the same time using the same connection.

Frankly, as it seems, it was the beginning of quite an unpleasant user experience. I would not be much surprised to find out many bonuses will be blocked to the IP match, yet it is surely not acceptable to avoid explanation to any player.

What about our friends? Have they faced the same issues?

I understand your point regarding the potential issues that can arise when multiple people share the same IP address while using online casinos. However, I would like to clarify a few things from my side.

Blocking my bonus and restricting my account solely because my IP address matches a previous user constitutes discrimination based on IP address. This approach incorrectly assumes that one IP address corresponds to only one individual, ignoring the fact that multiple people can access the internet through shared networks, such as in households or public spaces. This practice unfairly penalizes legitimate users without offering them an opportunity for verification, which undermines the principles of fairness and transparency expected from online platforms.

I did not knowingly share my IP address with anyone for casino-related activities. While it is possible that someone accessed the casino site from my connection over the years—given that friends have visited my home—I was not aware of this until now. Additionally, I have not encountered similar issues with other casinos. If using the same connection carries such risks, it would have been helpful if the casino had clearly communicated this upfront.

Regarding the KYC process, I have already expressed my willingness to undergo verification to resolve the issue. Unfortunately, the support team told me it was unnecessary and that they would contact me if KYC became required. My intention was to confirm my identity and avoid misunderstandings, but the lack of proactive communication from the casino has made the situation more complicated than it needed to be.

As for your question about my friends, I am not aware of them facing similar issues, and they have not informed me if they did.

Well done, if I may say so!

This is pretty much what we always try to explain to casino representatives.

"Blocking my bonus and restricting my account solely because my IP address matches a previous user constitutes discrimination based on IP address. This approach incorrectly assumes that one IP address corresponds to only one individual, ignoring the fact that multiple people can access the internet through shared networks, such as in households or public spaces. I could not say it better myself. I would say that sometimes casino employees are so preoccupied with looking for patterns and disciplining potential abusers that they entirely neglect to act appropriately. However, I am pretty sure that similar circumstances can be handled quite simply.

Has the player an interesting deposit history?

Has he ever shown any signs of trouble despite the IP?

Is it still rentable to provide him our services?

YES: leave the player alone until we are 100% sure he wants to gain an unfair advantage or becomes a real problem.

NO: close his account and let him withdraw the balance fairly won.

I apologize for oversimplifying, but my goal was to show how the choice could have been made logically.

"Regarding the KYC process, I have already expressed my willingness to undergo verification to resolve the issue. I still do not understand this part. The casino has been so lucky to deal with such a resonable player, and the only response is that they don't care. I am not sure what more I could make of it, to be honest.

Let's just hope your friends won't face the same treatment!

I can provide this screenshot as a proof that I offered myself for a KYC check. They have told me that it's not mandatory.

Not that I was pushing for it but I was 100% willing to do it.

Oh, thank you!

However, based on the screenshot, it appears that you were requesting a bonus in exchange for the KYC.

In any event, it makes sense that the casino would be reluctant to offer the greatest, customary "newbies" bonuses in such a situation, but in my opinion, it would be wiser to perform the KYC immediately to rule out any suspicions.

What would happen, for example, if you hit the jackpot? I would guess that because there are already known IP matches, the KYC will probably be more difficult. Have you inquired about that with casino support?
