Do you ever gamble just to feel in control?

Not talking about chasing wins or being addicted - I mean those sessions where you're just kinda stressed, things in life feel off, and you sit down to spin or play blackjack to reset your brain.

For me, it’s not even about the outcome sometimes. I’ll load up a small balance, throw on some chill music, and just click.

It’s like: "Here’s something I can control, even if the result’s random."

Anyone else use gambling as weird self-regulation like that? Or am I just overthinking the whole thing lol.

Hello, if I had to speak for myself I probably wouldn't be in this group. 

I understand that everyone can have something to relax and escape from reality, but I'm of the opinion that it can sometimes turn into an addiction, which I would hate to do. That whenever you want to chill, all you're going to do is spin the slots and nothing else will get you out of that reality. 

I don't know if I'm seeing it right, and I guess I'm taking it from a negative point of view, but I guess that's how I perceive it. 

Of course, if you have it under control and you do it occasionally, then I guess I don't see a problem. 

I do a lot of sports when I want to turn my head off, so that's probably my escape from reality.🙂

I’ve gambled before to feel like I had control over something. When life feels unpredictable, placing a bet, even a small one, can create this weird illusion of power.

And do you think it helped you or was it just some psychological effect and it had no impact on you?🤔

Det är poängen med spelet. Att förlora kan öka stressen. För att distrahera sig själv, för att fly från verkligheten, kan spelet hjälpa. Men det är inte det bästa sättet, tror jag.

Det är bättre att spela när man är i optimal form.

Att sopa ett rum samtidigt som man stänger det inifrån är en aktivitet värd att berömma, med maximal KONTROLL och ett snabbt, synligt resultat. :)
