Let's check ourselves if we have a healthy attitude towards defeat

I have a friend who sees losing at a casino as payment for pleasant emotions (he doesn't play very often). And I think it's a super healthy position. Like if it's a victory - super, I'm on this stop. Defeat? = super, I've paid for pleasant emotions and time spent.

Let's check ourselves, write what you feel about it.

For example, it’s like this for me, sometimes I can take a defeat normally, and sometimes I get excited and want to win back. But I really liked my friend's expression and now I try to remind myself that losing is the price for a good time. And this is really cool advice that helps to cool down. And this is not only about the casino, but everywhere)

haha, this is something that scares me. that many read and did not answer. Does this mean that people cannot always stop beating money in a casino? Someone calm me down :)

That's the correct approach, gambling is paid entertainment like any other, but more dangerous than other forms of entertainment and it's advisable to avoid it as much as possible

Oh yes, and if you enter gambling, then it is better not to do this during the period of depression and failure.

I truly agree with you, but sometimes it takes people a long way to realize this with a psychologist 🙁

To my mind, healthy attitude towards defeat in a casino involves having a balanced perspective and managing expectations, understanding that gambling involves an element of luck, and losses are a natural part of the experience. I agree that it's crucial to remember that gambling should be viewed as entertainment, and losses should be seen as the cost of that entertainment.

yeah, and how Randka once said:

The longer you play the more likely you'll lose the balance.

That's why it's definitely not a way to make money

I realized there is quite a sinister part of the addiction, though. At least the way I see it now.

It's sad if people tend to believe their fortune's waiting for them in the casino, but it's a real tragedy if an unlucky yet reasonable player loses the track spin by spin, thinking it is still possible to win back all losses...

Have you ever felt such a "need" or urge? I probably lack proper expression now.

I had a period when I got into trading. You know, Bitcoin, Ethereum and so on. Of course, it's not like in a casino, there is a chart, and the chart has certain periods, dependencies. Knowing certain figures, you can guess where the chart will go and make money on it. In this respect, there is something similar to the casino, but not quite 🙂

So, I took a course and started trying to earn on it. And at some point I caught myself not analyzing the chart properly, but just betting money (yeah, in my case it was just betting) in the hope to win back what I had lost earlier(And I didn't much care that in trading it was OK to 'catch stops' sometimes, huge greed was in me). Several times I lost my balance. My brain was shutting down and greed just kicked in. i remember I couldn't let the phone out of my hands and I could spend a whole weekend doing it... I'm glad I had the strength to tell myself to stop.

So I'm for the fact that if a person gambles at a casino, it's ONLY for fun. No need to bet large sums. Only what you don't mind losing.

And it's very sad how people try to win money back at the casino... Because I've been in a similar situation, I now feel sorry for everyone, although perhaps it's not always appropriate...

I have this experience too. 🙂

Started as a crypto-miner then lost all my earnings while trading. Not instantly, but to a bitter zero in the end. I tent to check the graph each minute even though I had set buy/sell limits for each currency. I was in a trance every time my stock price went to green +.

I was close to taking the first step into the abyss, I'm sure I was.

So, understand you quite well - and it is comparable to gambling, if you ask me.

True!! It really feels like gambling, but what I meant was that the technique is a bit different. I know people who made good money from Binance, they've managed to treat the graph with a cold mind. But it certainly wasn't me 🙂

And about

I was in transe every time my stoc price went to green +

Damnnn, I recognize myself

I was inspired by my former colleague back then. You know what they say strong examples tend to motivate.

I had to try it out myself! 😀

We are most likely cut from a different cloth, right? 😁

When I was studying, already during the training, people started to earn good money. And I was like WAT

and yeah, got crazy about it 🙂 Unfortunately

But then returned to the normal world of people who live their life without unnecessary stress
