after revoluts rejection I went to the complain form and even that got denied...
The transactions were:
Keyforge (Key4g3) — €250
- MCC: 5816 — Entertainment
- Prague, Czech Republic
- ARN: 74219506277005030714490
Keyforge (Key4g3) — €400
- MCC: 5816 — Entertainment
- Prague, Czech Republic
- ARN: 74219506277005030714326
Destream (Deserltd) — €300
- MCC: 7299 — Services
- Cyprus
- ARN: 74045246276002179910082
Total: €950
These were gambling transactions, but they were processed under Entertainment/Services, not gambling MCCs. I also didn't receive any RevPoints for these transactions, which is why I suspected the MCC was wrong.
Revolut's own response confirms that their Gambling Block works based on MCCs and that transactions using different MCCs won't be blocked. (WITH OTHER WORDS THEY ARE BLAMING US????)
But they still rejected my chargeback, saying the services were fully used, and then rejected my formal complaint too, saying they found no error on their side.
So honestly, what did I do wrong here?
How can these casinos/payment processors process gambling payments as Entertainment / Services, bypass gambling restrictions, and then when I raise the MCC issue, I'm just told the services were already used?
Revolut has now told me my next option is Kifid (dutch financial complaint system), where NO ONE has ever WON but the stupid casinos.
If anyone actually understands chargebacks, MCCs, Visa rules or gambling payments, please tell me what I should have done differently.
Also, I now have another dispute with my main bank for around €3,000, so I really need some genuine help before I mess that one up too.
