Question about Gambling websites with Curaçao license using incorrect Merchant Category code (sida 1 427)

Barclays have finally disputed the transactions on my account for the main descriptor. Not holding out any hope to be honest, fully expect them to turn around and close my account but worth the try.

Also I wanted to ask, you find the payment processor by just checking where the payments goes like the URL changes and it redirects between some payment pages, so you just email the pages you see it redirect to? For ex. I click deposit and it goes to Apcopay and then uapay.io and maybe also in between segopay, do I message like all of the payment gates?

How u getting on with fos? My investigator said no. So now I'm waiting on senior Ombudsman. The evidence I've sent is mental. Been at this for months. Hopefully the senior omb agrees with me.

If you've gone down that route mate the FOS will side with the bank.

They will have evidence it's gambling and miscoded mcc's and as far as the FOS will be concerned, you did receive the service you intended to pay for (gambling).

Hej, detta är tyvärr vanligt förekommande på många kasinon med licens på Curaçao. Nej, detta är inte tillåtet - varken enligt licensen, Visa/Mastercard-reglerna eller portugisisk banklagstiftning. Att maskera speltransaktioner med falska koder (kläder, butiker i Kenya) är ett allvarligt brott.

I praktiken är Curaçao-licensen inte särskilt krävande. De övervakar inte dessa uppgifter. Det är därför många webbplatser missbrukar den. Om du vill lämna in ett giltigt klagomål är vägen att gå inte till Curaçao-licensen, utan till Bank of Portugal och CMVM. De tar den här typen av bankförvrängningar på allvar.

Personligen, efter att ha gått igenom detta, bytte jag till kasinon som använder transparenta och lokala betalningsmetoder, som MB WAY och Multibanco. Till exempel behandlar Ginja alla insättningar och uttag tydligt - det som visas på kontoutdraget är precis vad jag gjorde, utan spökföretag. Uttag från MB WAY går igenom på några minuter.

Slutsats:

- Det är inte tillåtet.

- Klaga till Portugals centralbank, inte Curaçao.

- Undvik platser med dessa skyltar. Föredra operatörer med MB WAY och tydlig spårbarhet.
